About: Our Holiday Selection Ritual
We're a small, independent team of film lovers and enthusiastic hosts who believe the right film can make a December evening unforgettable.

The ritual
Every autumn we rewatch, re-rank and re-argue. Each film on this site has been watched in an actual living room, with actual guests, before it earns a recommendation. We note who laughed, who drifted off and who asked to watch it again next year.
We organise films by the evening they create — lively, romantic, nostalgic or relaxed — because that's how hosts really choose. Genre labels tell you what a film is; mood tells you whether it fits your night.
Our principles
- Every recommendation explains why it fits
- All release information is dated and checked against reliable film references
- Rankings are useful guides, never final verdicts
- We're independent: no studio, distributor or streamer pays for placement
